Mary V. Harvey Metropolitan Funeral

Mary V. Harvey passed peacefully into the Lord’s eternal rest on August 16, 2023.    Mrs. Harvey, the daughter of the late William H. Perkins and Virginia Perkins, was born February 10,1926 in Princess Anne County, Virginia.     Mrs. Harvey was preceded in death by her husband, Moses Harvey; five brothers Alexander Perkins, Charlie Perkins, Johnny Perkins; Riley Perkins Curtis Perkins; and four sisters, Carrie Hinton, Josie Sales, Eula Thomas, and Maggie Perkins.   Mary was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Norfolk where she served faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, and served as an usher on Usher Board No.1 for many years as her health allowed.   She was recently honored as a Phenomenal Silver Senior at Shiloh Baptist Church.  Mrs. Harvey also ran a caring in home day care for many years.    Mrs. Harvey also loved stylish suits and loved wearing them.  Mrs. Harvey loved gardening and always maintained a beautiful yard filled with flowers surrounding her home.
