Chanel Miller was sexually assaulted in America. On January 18, 2015, Brock Turner sexually assaulted her at Stanford University’s Kappa Alpha fraternity. She was referred to as “Emily Doe” throughout the case hearing. In September 2019, she revealed her true identity. She also stated that her memoir, Know My Name: A Memoir will be released on September 24, 2019.

Chanel Miller was born in the month of September 1993. Her country of birth is the United States of America. She is of European descent and represents Europe. Her parents’ names and backgrounds are unknown.

On January 17, 2015, Miller attended a party at Stanford University’s Kappa Alpha Fraternity. Brock Turner, a freshman at Stanford on a swimming scholarship, was also present at the party. He was 19 years old at the time. At the party, the two got along well while drinking beer and dancing.

Two Swedish graduate students discovered Turner unconscious on top of Miller. Turner fled the scene after they confronted him. One of the kids was pursuing Turner, while the other was checking to see if Miller was still breathing. Students grabbed Turner and held him down until campus police arrived and arrested him.

Miller was taken to the hospital, where he regained consciousness around 4:15 a.m. She suffered extensive and penetrating trauma, according to a nurse who performed a Sexual Assault Response Team evaluation at the hospital.

Miller claimed she had no recollection of the incident. She also claimed she had no recollection of calling her sister. Before being carried away by EMS, she had vomited on the scene.

Charges of Sexual Assault

On January 20, Stanford suspended Turner from campus, and USA Swimming barred Turner from ever competing in a competitive swimming event for the United States.

As a result of the investigation, Turner was charged on January 28, 2015, with two counts of rape, two counts of penetration, and one count of assault with intent to rape.

DNA tests revealed no genetic evidence of genital-to-genital contact. As a result, the two rape charges were dropped at a preliminary hearing on October 7, 2015. The trial in People v. Turner began on March 14, 2016, in Santa Clara County Superior Court.

Turner was convicted of three felonies on March 20, 2016, including assault with intent to rape an intoxicated woman, sexually penetrating an intoxicated person with a foreign instrument, and sexually penetrating an unconscious person with a foreign object.

Turner was sentenced to six years in prison by prosecutors. Turner was imprisoned in Santa Clara County for three months. On September 2, 2016, he was released.o
