Alex Trebek may be gone but there are still some comforting things he had to say! More precisely, in a pre-recorded message from before his passing, the Jeopardy! host encouraged people out there to ‘keep the faith’ through it all!

The positive message dedicated to his audience came right on Thanksgiving so fans were truly grateful and comforted by his words.

This comes almost four weeks after Alex Trebek’s death.

As for his heartfelt message, the video features the beloved host saying: ‘Happy Thanksgiving, ladies and gentlemen. You know, in spite of all that America and the rest of the world’s experiencing right now, there are still many reasons to be thankful. There are more and more people extending helpful hands to do a kindness to their neighbors, and that is a good thing. Keep the faith. We are going to get through all of this and we will be a better society because of it.’

As you might know, there are still episodes of the popular show coming all throughout the holidays, culminating with Christmas Day since the host had pre-recorded a number of episodes prior to his passing.

Furthermore, on November 30, production for the game show will resume with guest hosts that will be rotating, the first one being Ken Jennings.

Executive Producer Mike Richards shared on the show’s social media platform that ‘Alex believed in the importance of Jeopardy! and had always said he wanted the show to go on after him. We will honor Alex’s legacy by continuing to produce the game show he loved with smart contestants and with challenging clues. By bringing in guest hosts for the foreseeable future, our goal’s to create a sense of community and continuity for our viewers.’
